A man enters a barber shop for a shave.
While the barber is foaming him up, he mentions the problems he has
getting a close shave around the cheeks.
"I have just the
thing," says the barber taking a small wooden ball
from a nearby
drawer. "Just place this between your cheek and gum."
The client
places the ball in his mouth and the barber proceeds with
the
closest shave the man has ever experienced. After a few strokes the
client asks in garbled speech.
"And what if I swallow it?"
"No problem," says the barber. "Just bring it back tomorrow like
everyone else does."
How did the witch almost lose her baby?
She
didn't take it far enough into the woods.
A man had been out in the
back woods for weeks, cutting logs. He was a bit scruffy and didn't
smell very good. Finally he needed a break and came in to town for
a few
beers.
In the bar, he saw the local jock of the
town's football team. He was
bragging about his girlfriend and how she
was lucky to have him for a
boyfriend.
The lumberjack, after
drinking six bottles of beer, was heard to say,
"Buddy, if she went
out with me, she'd never go out with you ever
again."
To
which the local jock replied, "Hey buddy, if she went out with you,
she'd never go out with ANYONE ever again."
. . . .When I am, as it were, completely myself, entirely alone, and of good cheer - say traveling in a carriage, or walking after a good meal, or during the night when I cannot sleep - it is on such occasions that my ideas flow best, and most abundantly. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned to walk forward. Franklin D. Roosevelt
A few days ago I walked along the edge of the lake and was treated to the crunch and rustle of leaves with each step I made. The acoustics of this season are different and all sounds, no matter how hushed, are as crisp as autumn air. Eric Sloane
